Measuring Heel Height

We measure our heel heights (in centimetres) by placing the heel on a flat surface and then measuring from the surface to the top of the heel

Leather Uppers

Leather uppers will benefit from regular cleaning and protecting with our range of protector sprays and creams. Conditioning your boots with oil and creams will help the leather resist cracking, flaking, fading or looking tired.

Suede / Nubuck Uppers

As soon as suede shoes have been brought home, they should be sprayed with a protector spray that is designed for suede shoes. Purchase a suede brush and routinely brush the dust and debris from shoes. A good habit to have is brushing down suede shoes immediately after they have been worn.

Heel Tips

Heel tips are a replaceable component which should not be allowed to wear down. Replace heel tips on a regular basis to prevent permanent damage to the heels. We do not recommend that you replace plastic heel tips with metal heel tips as this could alter the construction of the shoe.

Replacing Insoles

The insole of a shoe takes quite a bit of abuse, especially in flat and court shoes which are meant to be worn without socks. If replacing the insole is to help eliminate odors, first check to see if the insole is worn out. If it is not worn out, try sprinkling baking soda in the bottom of the shoe at night and then shaking or vacuuming it out in the morning.

Wet Weather Advice

Never dry wet shoes next to a radiator or any other source of heat: you'll crack the leather. Simply stuff them with newspaper or boot shapers and allow them to dry out naturally. If they are covered in mud, brush off when dry and then polish as normal.

Embellished Uppers

Embellished uppers are often adorned with hot stones or beaded details. Sometimes through wear and tear, these may become loose. Our customer services team can help to offer spare trims to neatly bring any embellishment back to lift.

I ordered these shoes as they were on a 2 for 1 offer. When I collected them from the store I decided they weren't what I wanted so asked for a refund. The Ilkley store staff were very helpful however they can't expedite the refund.. I now have to wait 10 working days for the refund to go back on my card and the 10th working day will be on Monday, 2 weeks from when I returned them. Moda you are taking this to the very limit and it puts me off ordering online in future.

The next day I also returned another pair of Moda shoes that I had ordered online. It had taken 2 weeks for them to finally arrive as there were problems with EVRI. They were lovely shoes in my usual size but sadly too tight. I returned them to the Harrogate store and tried on the next size up but they were too big ( why don't you do half sizes like most other good shoe manufacturers do?) I'm also still waiting for a refund for these shoes.

Sadly I鈥檓 having to return them. I鈥檝e always been a 6 in your shoes, but these came up quite small, plus I obviously didn鈥檛 read the description correctly as I thought they were suede, and so when I looked at them they just didn鈥檛 look nice at all. Sorry

Something has happened to moda in pelle sizing! I鈥檝e been buying their shoes for years but the couple of orders I鈥檝e placed this year are not accurate and as I live 83 miles away from their nearest store it makes it almost impossible for me to buy them. It鈥檚 just not worth the risk when you have to pay the return postage yourself. I even ordered 2 different sizes in 2 pairs of shoes this time !
